A formal programme was organised to mark the completion of the 36-Hours Entrepreneurship Development Certificate Course. It was launched on 15th of July, in commemoration of “International Youth Skills Day 2025”; an initiative by the Skill Development Committee, Kohima College in collaboration with Entrepreneur School of Business (ESB).
Chaired by Lashili G Chishi, the programme began with an invocation by Dr. Ketoukhrieü, both Asst. Profs., from the Dept. Of Political Science. It was followed by a welcome address from the Principal of Kohima College, Dr. Vitsosie Vüprü, who encouraged the students to embrace entrepreneurship as a path of innovation, resilience, and social contribution.
The highlight of the programme was the “Business Pitching”session, where student groups presented innovative entrepreneurial blueprints developed during the midst of the course. The teams—Solebuddy proposed plastic sole covers, Wolts Storehouse designed a storage facility for students, and Revamp introduced “Eco-Brick,” made from sand and recycled plastics, turning waste into value. These impressive business pitches reflected & revealed the very entrepreneurial spirit amongst students, for which this course was designed for.
Presenting a very detailed EDCC report was Ms Incale, Course Co-ordinator from ESB, who was the pillar behind the success of this initiative.
Delivering words of encouragement, Lezo Putsure, CEO of Entrepreneur School of Business, inspired students with stories of real entrepreneurs who started small with no available support but succeeded through sheer will and out-of-the-box innovation, thereby achieving great success.
The programme concluded with remarks by Dr Petevino Chase, followed by certificate distribution to the participants.
After which, an official photo session & a tea break marked the close of the event. All in all, the programme as well as the course was a resounding success.
