6th June, 2017: Planted flowers in the campus RUSA garden along
with 10 students in observation of World Environment Day
This activity was done in the old RUSA garden, which is now no longer in use. These flowers after maturity were sold to the faculty, some of whom bought them. The practice of selling RUSA grown flowers is still continued today in Kohima College.
15th March, 2017: One Day Training Cum Demonstration Programme on Floriculture organised by Friends of Nature in partnership with Directorate of Horticulture, Govt of Nagaland under RUSA Scheme

All the sessions were very technical & highly informative & altogether, 65 participants attended the Programme including students & faculty.
The summarized themes of the sessions are as follows:
Mr. Eluba, from the Directorate of Horticulture highlighted the endeavours & schemes available under the department.
Watila Longkumer, representing the North Bengal Floritech, spoke on the concept & scope of floriculture in modern context. That Nagaland should take up floriculture not just as a hobby but also as a commercial activity. That such activities would be aided by technical assistance & management skills from the Horticulture department.
ZOPAR representatives delved on the Production & Cultivation of Lilium Flower, in particular–Asiatic & Oriental varieties, their management & plantation methods, followed by harvesting & marketing.
KF Bio plants Pvt. Ltd, highlighted the concept of tissue culture, management & marketing prospects of gerbera plantation & the basics of erecting a greenhouse.
Pranab Banerjee from AGRINOS Company gave a presentation on the various biological products of the company to improve soil, roots & overall health of plants like Avesta-Vam, Allure-Hyt.C, Ignite Hyt.A & Optimus Hyt.B.
