May 31st, 2024: Six students from the departments of Political Science, Economics & Commerce, Kohima College, Kohima, attended a documentary screening at the Highland Institute. The film, ‘Survey City: A film about the Mysterious Life of Documents,” was directed by Tarini Manchanda, Sanjay Shrivastava, and Matt Birkinshaw. It focused on the lives of people who migrated from West Bengal to the slums of Delhi, known as “Border Basti”, highlighting their daily struggles and livelihood. Snacks were provided during the screening for the students. The screening was then followed by a Q&A session with two of the directors, Tarini Manchanda and Matt Shrivastava, and concluded with some recreational activities.
