May 28, 2025: Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College in collaboration with Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation, organised an Oral Health Screening Camp 2025

Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College, organised an Oral Health Screening Camp at Kohima College, Kohima. This commendable initiative provided free dental check-ups for students, raising awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and preventive care, conducted by a team of dental professionals. The college also extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation for this valuable initiative, which not only promoted oral health but also empowered students with knowledge for long-term well-being.


October 23, 2024: Speech Competition themed “HIV/AIDS: Engage, Educate and Emancipate”

The Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College successfully organised a speech competition themed “HIV/AIDS: Engage, Educate and Emancipate”. The event aimed to raise awareness & foster discussion about HIV/AIDS, emphasising the importance of education and engagement in combating stigma and promoting health.
Altogether, 23 students participated in this event. The competition featured participants from various departments, showcasing their understanding and perspectives on the theme. After an impressive display of oratory skills and informative content, the winners were announced:

1st Position: Roukohenuo, Political Science Department
2nd Position: Daniel K. Konyak, Economics Department
3rd Position: Tsudu Zholio, Education Department


October 1, 2024: Observation of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2024

The Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College, Kohima observed the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2024 with a painting competition themed “Be the Reason for Someone’s Smile Today”. The event was organised enthusiastically to educate students about their social responsibility and the importance of blood donation to that end. As such, 23 student participants took part in the painting competition, the winners of which were:

1st Position: Avitoli Futhena, 5th Semester, History Department
2nd Position: Kunupa Lohe, 5th Semester, Economics Department
3rd Position: Aron C, 5th Semester, Education Department


Aug 12, 2024: Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College participates in the NSACS (Nagaland State AIDS Control Society) organised formal launch programme of the “Intensified IEC (INFORMATION, EDUCATION & COMMUNICATION) Campaign”

Kohima College student members of Red Ribbon Club accompanied by Mhalezolie Solo, Asst. Prof., Dept of Pol Science, attended the launching of the “Intensified IEC (INFORMATION, EDUCATION & COMMUNICATION)” campaign. It was organised by the Office of the Commissioner Secretary H&FW, Goan & Chairman NSACS & Project Director NSACS & held at NBCC Convention Centre. This was followed by a rally for the cause.


Aug 12, 2024: Red Run Marathan Organised by NSACS (Nagaland State AIDS Control Society) & participated in by Red Ribbon Club members, Kohima College

Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College initiated student participation in Red Run Marathon organised by NSACS (Nagaland State Aids Control Society). Sha S (1st semester Functional English) won the 1st prize in the Red Run Marathon. He will represent Kohima district in the State level Run.


Oct 1, 2023: A Blood-Donation Camp was organised by Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Kohima in commemoration of National Voluntary Blood Donors

Altogether 13 student volunteers from Kohima College donated blood for this cause.


12th August, 2023: Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College in collaboration with NSACS (Nagaland State Aids Control Society) commemorated “International Youth Day”, by organising a district—level marathon race

Themed as “Run to Raise Awareness about HIV Prevention”, the Red Run for the year 2023 was 5 Kms long.
Four (4) students from Kohima College participated in the aforementioned marathon race. They were:

  1. Lhuvezo Medeo (Achieved 2nd position in Boys Category)
  2. Pangaolu Pohena
  3. Ngepkhao S (Achieved 3rd position in Girls Category)
  4. Rovimenuo

14th June, 2023: Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College unit participates as Student Hero Donors on World Blood Donor Day Programme themed as “Give Blood Plasma, Share Life Often”, Jointly Organised by Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association, Kohima & Department of Family & Health Welfare, GoN

Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College unit led by its faculty members Tiakumla Jamir, Tenosenuo Angami & 8 students attended & participated as blood donors on World Blood Donor Day Programme. It was jointly organised by the Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association, Kohima & Department of Family & Health Welfare, Government of Nagaland. The theme of the event was Give Blood Give Plasma. Share Life Share Often.

The special guests were Dr Vibeituonuo M Sachu, Principal Director, DH & FW, GoN and Col. SSB Sharma, Commandant Officer, Kohima Battalion, Assam Rifles. The following are the list of student donors:
