24th -29th June, 2019: Exposure Trip to Sikkim funded by RUSA, MHRD
Accompanied by Associate Professor Lily Angami & staff member Paul Achumi, 15 students from Kohima College went on an exposure trip to Sikkim. This trip was funded by RUSA, MHRD, Government of India & themed as “Vocationalisation of Higher Education”
23rd February, 2019: Department of Political Science Educational Trip to Nagaland Legislative Assembly with 6th Semester Honours Students
Accompanied by 6 faculty members of Political Science Department, the 6th Semester Political Science Honours students with official passes witnessed the contentious debates on the Citizenship Amendment Bill at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Winter Session
(9-13)th January, 2019: Darjeeling Educational Trip with Kohima College Students’ Council members
Accompanied by 2 faculty members, the KCSC executives toured Darjeeling, walking through its colonial history & witnessing its present nostalgia & disrepair. The sites visited by the group were Lloyd Botanical Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Museum, Padmanaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tiger Hill (within Singalila National Park), Bengal Natural History Museum, Ava Art Gallery, Mahakal/ Bhutia Market, Chowk Bazaar, Chowrastha/Mall Road, Darjeeling Clock Tower, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Glenarys, Keventers, Nightingale Park etc
