9th August, 2022: Department of EVS organised a cultural programme themed “Fostering the Culture of Excellence”, marking the Foundation Day for Kohima College, Kohima as well as celebrating the World Indigenous Day, in collaboration with IQAC, Kohima College, Kohima

The Department of EVS and Sociology in collaboration with IQAC organised the Kohima College Foundation Day and World Indigenous Day on 9th August, 2022 with the theme “Fostering the Culture of Excellence” at the Kohima College Courtyard.

16th September, 2021: Department of EVS in collaboration with IQAC, Kohima College organised a talk on environmental consciousness in commemoration of World Ozone Day

A talk on Environmental Consciousness in commemoration of World Ozone Day was organised by Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with IQAC, Kohima College, Kohima. The resource persons were Nokho N & Pelevizo Meyase. Nokho N talked on “What we can learn from our ancestors about conservation”, while Pelevizo Meyase talked on “Responsibility of a student in Conserving Environment”.

10th December, 2020: Departments of EVS & Functional English, Kohima College organised a testimonial talk for aspiring student entrepreneurs themed as ‘This is my story’

Departments of EVS & Functional English Dept organised a testimonial talk for aspiring student entrepreneurs themed as ‘This is my story’. The resource person was Melekhoto Pucho. The intent of the talk was practical know-how in starting & sustaining any entrepreneurial ventures.

21st February, 2020: Department of EVS in collaboration with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima College unit organised a poster competition on “Forest Conservation” & “Water Conservation”

A poster competition on ‘Forest conservation’ & ‘Water conservation’ was held at the college organised by the Department of EVS & Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima College unit. The teachers-in-charge were Dr. Avinuo Kire & Dr. Emisenla Jamir, both Assistant Professors of English Department, Kohima College. Altogether, 15 students participated in the competition.

5th February, 2020: Departments of EVS & Commerce, Kohima College, in collaboration with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima College unit organised a Tree Plantation Drive

Altogether 53 students from Commerce Department & the faculty members of EVS & Commerce participated in this tree plantation drive.

26th November, 2019: Nagaland Pollution Control Board in collaboration with the Departments of EVS, Functional English & Economics organised a Clean Air Campaign themed “Clean Air: Life will be rare without fresh air”

Nagaland Pollution Control Board along with Departments of EVS, Functional English & Economics organised a Clean Air campaign themed “Clean Air: Life will be rare without fresh air” with Dr. Kenei Miachieo, IFS, Member Secretary, NPCB as the special guest of the event.

12th July, 2019: Department of EVS & Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima College unit in collaboration with Kohima Smart City Development Limited, organised a visit to the Waste Management Facility at Lerie, Kohima district, Nagaland

Altogether there were 29 student volunteers & 2 faculty members of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima College unit who attended a sensitisation program on Solid Waste Management. The participants learned how to make Eco-bricks & were also assigned to beautify the campus using Eco-bricks.
