The Functional English Department had a month-long ‘On the Job Training’ as part of their 6th Semester (Minor) course. The last group of students who opted to be tourist guides completed their ‘On the Job Training’ on 10th April. The department collaborated with Alder Tours & Travels, Kohima. Functional English students gained hands-on experience as tourist guides during their, ‘On the Job Training’, applying language skills in real tourist interactions at local sites. This built their confidence in greeting visitors, describing attractions, and handling queries. Thus, bridging classroom learning with practical tourism roles.
And, with that, the month-long English in ‘On the Job Training’ concluded for the 6th semester students. The department wishes the soon-to-be graduates the best in all their future endeavors.
