Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2019

2^nd October, 2019: 150^th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Programme

100 students along with 3 Swachh Bharat Abhiyan faculty members attended the Programme on the 150^th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi organised by various departments of the Government of Nagaland.

27^th September, 2019: Kohima College Campus Eco-Brick Project

15 student volunteers from UGC Girls Hostel & Goodwill Boys Hostel along with 4 faculty members of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan & Friends of Nature, used the collected Eco-Bricks & constructed the Eco—Brick Project at the Kohima College campus.

16^th September, 2019: Eco Brick Collection Drive from Kohima College Students

All Kohima College Students were given the directive by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to bring at least 1 each from their home. Thereafter, an Eco- brick collection drive took place.

11^th September, 2019: Making Eco Bricks

Student volunteers from Goodwill Boys Hostel & UGC Girls Hostel were involved in making of Eco bricks. These eco bricks were made from used bottles stuffed with plastic waste.

12^th July, 2019: Sensitisation Programme on Solid Waste Management

29 student volunteers & 2 faculty members of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan attended a sensitization program on Solid Waste Management organised by the Kohima Smart City Development Limited. The participants learned how to make Eco-bricks & was also assigned the responsibility to incorporate Eco-bricks as some part of the college beautification process.

(2^nd – 4^th) May, 2019: Sanitation Drive for the Inter-Collegiate Olympics

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was in charge of the sanitation during the Inter-Government Collegiate Olympics week. Around 40 volunteers assisted in cleaning the classrooms, bathrooms & continuously kept the campus clean.
