Kohima College, Kohima joined the nationwide observance of Anti-Ragging Day initiated by the University Grants Commission to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe and inclusive environment in higher education institutions. As part of the programme, an Anti-Ragging Poster Painting Competition on the theme “YaARI – Youth Against Ragging” was held on 12 August 2025, organised by the Anti-Ragging/Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell of the college. A total of 17 students, with two participants from each department, took part in the competition. The first prize was awarded to Sinisha Kent, 3rd Semester, History Department; the second prize went to Deuyihangle, 3rd Semester, Sociology Department; and the third prize was bagged by Horila Y. Sangtam, 5th Semester, B.Com.
