
Kohima College Conducted Preamble Pledge as directed by GoN
November 26, 2025: Kohima College conducted a formal Preamble Pledge-taking on this day to mark “Constitution Day”, following a directive issued by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland.
The directive—circulated under HED/ADMN/MISC-01/2023—requires all higher educational institutions in the state to organise Mass Preamble Reading sessions dedicated to the Constitution of India. The instruction is issued in compliance with the Home Department’s notification dated November 24, 2025.
As part of the mandate, institutions have been asked to upload videos of the Preamble reading on the national portal www.constitution75.com. A copy of the recording also to be submitted to the Directorate through WhatsApp by November 26 for onward submission to the Home Department.
All government and private colleges—including Kohima College—had been instructed to carry out the activity without exception.
The initiative is part of the nationwide observance of “Constitution Day” held annually to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
