June 16, 2023: Kohima College inaugurated its UGC-Sponsored Indoor Stadium for which a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held by special guest, Honourable Minister Shri. Temjen Imna Along, Higher Education and Tourism, GoN. A short programme was held thereafter with Dr. Vitsosie Vuprü, Principal of Kohima College as the chair. Associate Pastor Kezhakietuo Belho, Khedi Baptist Church pronounced the dedicatory prayer followed by a special song by Mhalezonuo, 3rd Semester.In his speech, Shri. Imna Along thanked the UGC for allowing Kohima College to build an infrastructure that would benefit the young blue-coated students of Kohima College. He pointed out that Kohima College has emerged in recent years to be one of the centres of educational excellence in Nagaland with some of the best, hard-working teaching faculty. His advice for the students was to learn and work for the prosperity of the people of Nagaland and to aim to inspire.The programme culminated with a short thank-you address by Dr. Vuprü, who also dedicated the Indoor Stadium to the glory of God. A short refreshment ensued at the end for all.
