Department of Tenyidie organised an educational trip for 31 4th semester students at a historical site in Mekhrora (meaning “place of origin”). This site falls under the Senapati district, Manipur, India. They were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Ako Savi, Dept. Of Tenyidie. The myth behind the banyan tree site is where a mother got pregnant and gave birth to a human, spirit and tiger. They lived together and departed . The pear tree signified a forefather’s walking stick.
