In observance of World Heritage Day(18 April), 4th-semester History students undertook an educational visit to the Kohima War Cemetery to study its significance as a heritage site and understand its historical background.
The students then visited the Garrison Hill Centre and Cafe which offers a unique perspective on the 1944 Battle of Kohima during World War II.
The visits deepened their appreciation for preserving sites of collective memory and highlighted the importance of conserving and safeguarding landmarks for future generations.
