Oct. 5, 2026: The State-Level Half Marathon under SPANDAN (Sports for Peace and Development Across Nations) was held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. The event was organised by 78 Battalion CRPF, Sechü-Zubza, in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Government of Nagaland.
The event witnessed participation from over 600 students of Kohima College, Kohima, as part of the larger state-level participation of around 3,000 runners across three age categories. The programme aimed to promote physical fitness, youth engagement, social harmony, national integration and peace through sports.
Among the participants from Kohima College, Cekrotalu Khusoh, Department of Tenyidie, 1st Semester, Roll No. 648, secured 1st position in the Female 2nd Category . Zino Khusoh, Department of Education, 3rd Semester, Roll No. 148, also participated in the 2nd Category and secured 4th position.
The achievements of both students brought pride to Kohima College and highlighted the importance of participation, determination and sportsmanship among students. The event was a meaningful initiative towards building a healthier, united and more active society through sports.
